Rosie’s Lighthouse ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in Schedule 1 of that Act.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information, and how individuals may access and correct their personal information or make a privacy complaint.

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not.

Disclosure of Personal Information

only for the purpose for which it was disclosed

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Overseas Disclosure

We do not disclose personal information to overseas recipients. If this practice changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles personal information in a manner consistent with the APPs.

Storage and Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Personal information is stored in secure systems. When personal information is no longer needed for any purpose, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access and Correction

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request that we correct that information if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

To make an access or correction request, please contact us using the details set out in section 11 below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time and, in any case, within 30 days. We will not charge a fee for making a request but may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of providing access.

We may refuse access or correction in certain circumstances permitted by law. If we refuse your request, we will give you written reasons.

Privacy Complaints

If you believe we have interfered with your privacy, you may lodge a complaint with us in writing using the contact details in section 11. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
